I purchased the communicator from the same company. The communicator is definitely smaller than the original. But it is perhaps 70% scale. This phaser is on the order of 30% scale. I had hoped to place both on my desk. But this phaser would look ridiculously small compared to the communicator. I think it might be worth $5 but definitely not $10. I'm very disappointed.
